Toyota Van Leasing
Toyota is gradually growing its share of the LCV market, aided by the arrival of the second generation version of its Proace van. Here, there’s a choice between three different body lengths - the 4.6m-long ‘Compact’ variant that gives you up to 4.6m3 of cargo room, the 4.95m ‘Medium’ model that provides up to 5.3m3 of loading space and the 5.3m ‘Long’ version that delivers up to 6.1m3 of loading capacity. There’s also a Platform cab option that’ll provide a base for conversions. In addition, there’s a wide selection of People Carrying derivatives. If you need to take passengers and industrial packages, there’s a 6-seater Crew Van variant that can provide you with a fold-out bench behind the front seats that’ll give you space for three more occupants.
The LCV that Toyota is best known for though, is its Hilux pick-up. This vehicle is now in its eighth generation and comes in three forms; the usual Double Cab; a ‘Single Cab’ model (also available in ‘Wide Body’ form): and the alternative ‘Extra Cab’ bodyshape with its useful occasional rear seats. All models featuring the same 150PS 2.4-litre D-4D diesel engine mated to 4WD. The DoubleCab model’s cargo area can carry up to 1,055kgs. And the Hilux can tow up to 3.5-tonnes.
